Lake Panasoffkee Bass Fishing Guide

Donkey Nation Fishing

James Snipes, Donkey Nation Fishing, Lake Panasoffkee Largemouth Bass

James Snipes is the owner/operator of Donkey Nation Fishing.  He grew up in the Inverness and Lake Panasoffkee area and has been fishing these lakes and rivers since he was a boy which has provided him with decades of knowledge and understanding of how to find and catch largemouth and other Central Florida gamefish.  James' personal best is 16 pounds 11 oz, caught when he was just 13 years old.  And the weight on that fish was after he had placed it in the basket of his bicycle and ridden 30 minutes to find an official scale.  When friends of James talk about that fish, they're all convinced that it would have been the Florida state record had she been kept in a livewell.  But James was just a boy and it will forever be "the one that got away."  Nevertheless, ever since that day, James has been "hooked" on largemouth bass fishing and has dedicated his life to the art, the science and the love of catching and helping others catch bigmouth bass.

About the Name

Early in James' guiding career he and a client had just finished an excellent day of fishing, with dozens of bass ranging from 6 pounds on up; and even a few over 11. When they reached the dock at the end of the day the client said "I caught so many fish today, I feel like I've been kicked by a donkey."  And there it was, the name for the business James had been looking for--Donkey Nation Fishing. The most common reaction when clients fish with James is "He gets just as excited as I do!"  And it's true.  There's nothing James would rather do than climb in his boat and go fishing for Central Florida largemouth bass. So book your trip today so you can feel what it's like to get kicked by some of Central Florida's Donkey mamas.  Call 352-364-7171 for more information or to schedule.
